EPS Mold Manufacturer — Shape Moulding Tooling
Shandong Wanrong Mould & Die manufactures aluminium EPS shape-moulding molds in automatic, semi-automatic and manual types. Mold bodies are vacuum-cast in the company’s own foundry in Shouguang, Shandong, then CNC-machined, assembled and trialled on site.

EPS (expanded polystyrene, also written EPS mould in British spelling) is moulded on a shape-moulding machine: pre-expanded beads fill the cavity, steam fuses them, the part cools and is ejected. The mold is the tool that forms the part. We make that tool.

How EPS shape moulding uses the mold
Beads are pre-expanded, aged, then blown into the closed mold. Steam enters the steam chamber, passes through the vents and fuses the beads. Water or air cools the part. Ejectors push it out. The mold has to steam, vent, cool and eject without leaking or marking the part.
Mold construction
A typical tool is an aluminium body in a steel frame, with a steam chamber, venting (vent plugs or slit vents), ejection and cooling. We cast the aluminium body ourselves. Construction details — vent type, ejector layout, steam pressure — are set on the drawing, not published as a generic specification.
Automatic, semi-automatic and manual molds
We build molds for fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual (batch) shape-moulding machines. The right type depends on the press you already have and the volume you run. Name the machine in the enquiry.
Why the body is aluminium
Aluminium conducts steam heat into the cavity and keeps the tool light enough to change. We cast those bodies in-house, so porosity and repair are our problem, not a third foundry’s.
How the mold is made here
Aluminium mold bodies are cast in our own foundry, then CNC-machined, assembled and trialled in the same plant. We do not buy in cast blanks.
